Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea was first seen as part of the cast on Irish or British TV shows in 2009, started her career as an stand-up comic in the year 2011. She began appearing often on sketch comedy and sitcoms in 2012. In 2012, she began appearing on panel shows after winning an award at The Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016 and 2017, she served as a team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is participant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born to Brian O'Sullivan, the actress is the mother of one sister called Sinead. She was only the second ever woman to win So You Think You're Funny. Bea was given to her to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling Cliodhnadh, born March 16, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was an equine veterinarian who committed suicide when Bea was just three years old, though she was not told how he died until she turned thirteen. As a way to honor her dad, she took the stage name Bea and, in the year 2017, wrote an article about suicides and deaths that affected her family members for The Guardian. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a an ex-professional jockey. She and her family loved horses, races and the racing industry. Bea was a guide at her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her beginning days. However, she knew that it wasn't what she wanted to be in a career and she preferred to perform.
